Default How do I properly use the template in my comonent?

I am nearing the end of my first component and I am having trouble getting some of my tables to look correct. My component generates some tables that have several columns displaying either text or currency numbers...basically reports. What css class do I use to properly format this data? What is the prorer way for me to use the current template settings to format this type of output?
