I want to modify the contact component to another comp to fit my need but I still want to keep the contact as it is.
I think I will download the install file of contact component and change it . After that I will install it as a new component ..

But I cant find any file like com_contact.zip, I did a search on mambo and google...

Any suggestion ? Thanks in advance

hi, you can't download the com_contact cause is a core component of mambo and is present in your mambo package take a look in the backend,frontend directory

administrator\component\com_contcat
or in
component\com_contcat

and you find what are looking for ....

yeah I understand, if this component can't be downloaded and installed manually
Is there a solution to copy a COMPONENT ?
the only way to copy a component I found is what I mentioned above

My contact component isn't sending the form to my email. The settings are all correct.

It was suggested to me that I uninstall the contact component and then reinstall it again. Do I just place the three files of the component in a ZIP file and then install it like that?
