Components are fine, custom design of everything is posible with little or no at all coding.

mambo has some other issues that need to be adresed, like SHITI ALMOST UNREADABLE CSS, Pour manuals etc.

There are alot of components but i came to understanding that only fuew are realy good. php shop, simpleboard forum ...

A catalog component, where users can define their own fields, would really come handy. PHPShop is great, but too feature rich for majority of users who want just to display products, ...

The ability to resize an image within Mambo would be fantastic. This could be done by calling upon ImageMagick to do the work as it does for Gallery and other apps.

I miss a contact ads component. I also would like to see an auction component.

What do you mean by "contact ads"?

I would like a better/more feature-rich Sitemap component (see http://forum.mamboserver.com/showthr...ight=component) for developpement..) with a nice backend:
generates an initial list, where you can uncheck items to exclude, rename entries (while keeping the URL), set "add img for external links" to yes/no, with a nice CSS file etc etc..

Another vote for a project management component, that allows me to allow access to a project only to a user group, or even to an individual user. Preferably with the possibility to add working hours, schedules and contacts to projects, and a basic invoicing system based on the working hours. Basically, phpcollab covers my needs, apart from its own user table.

For a site I ran on mambo 4.5 1.0.9 I used a heavily modified Mospray, that did the job quite well. I feel that this would make Mambo an interesting option for the professional market.

I would like to see a Groupware Component that has shared Calendar, private calendar, email, tasks, notes and would sync with outlook.

Would also like to see a project management component, with features that allow you to deleicate task to other members that are a part of your site.

A CRM would be aslo be great that intergrated into mambo.

I would rather have better quality, "serious" components rather than a lot of half finished little "toys". By "serious" I mean AkoStaff, Calendar, phpShop, discussion boards, newsletters, galleries etc. Unfortunately some of the serious ones require a lot of fixing, customizing until you can use them on "serious" (science, education, research, commercial etc.) websites.

In any case I am really greatefull to all these people who create them and share with the community for free. I would not be able to do this myself and it is still easier for me to customize rather than create from scratch. Of course it would be much easier if we get responses to all the questions about problems using these products, but that is the price we should expect to pay for free products - no guarante for support and "do it yourself".

a com i miss is a hot or not like script, not a gallery rating system but a com where user can upload a pic and have it be resized and people an vote 1-10 and search for like intrist people.

a com i would lke to see built is a customizable news page where users can select news feeds from a list and view their selected news sources top headlines on a page.

Ive tryed to switch back to phpnuke but i relised how advanced Mambo is and will tough it out till i have these
