Default Looking for bugtracker/webmail

I have a need for two things:
  1. Bug Tracker for website edits
  2. Server side webmail client allowing access to multiple accounts
I've looked at many of both and some groupware apps but haven't really found anything I like much yet. Groupware would be great since I could use some of the other features, but I need to be able to access multiple pop mail accounts like I can with so many desktop clients.

For bug tracking, I like the format used at MamboForge and anything similar would be fine...I just want something that will create line items which can be toggled to show their status. I want to be able to create seperate projects for different clients so they can log in and post items to their project only and I can have all my site editing lists in one place for easy viewing of all tasks.

Right now, most of my edit lists are scattered throughout word docs and emails and its nearly impossible to keep track of everything.

I'm on a Linux server running Apache/2.0.46 (Red Hat) and PHP 4.3.2

I might add that I'm only interested in Open Source software. I would appreciate your input if anyone has any knowledge or experience they can share before I start downloading and installing apps.

Thanks in advance!

I can only guess why.

So nobody uses any software like this? Or did this thread just get buried too deep?

Hi Mark, here you have a *simple* but effective POP3 client for Mambo -> http://mamboforge.net/frs/?group_id=277&release_id=887
And this is for Bugtracking -> http://mamboforge.net/frs/?group_id=284&release_id=739
This is not exacly what you want but you can customize them. Hope this helps

Yeah, the POP3 client works great under 4.5.1 check this http://www.ezwp.com/web-mail/
I've seen the other component working in a site powered by 4.5.1 but just can't remember what site.

I've used mantis (check source forge), which could probably be easily ported to mambo...

Have a look a More.groupware (I use it).... should have most of everything you'll need from a groupware perspective (uses a version of Horde mail), and has a minimal ammount of bug-trackability ... as for true bug tracking... BugZilla comes to mind, but don't know how close to mForge it is. Both of these are standalone... and it would take a Mountain of work to make 'em Mambo-able
