Default mosFAQ vs SimpleFAQ

I just downloaded this "new" FAQ component called SimpleFAQ from http://www.parkviewconsultants.com/ and installed it. I was thinking this is a GPL component and was curious to know how it differed from Phil Taylor's mosFAQ which I purchased some time ago and I am not sure anymore if it is compatible with the latest Mambo..... I found out that both component are identical. The author of SimpleFAQ even failed to remove a link to Phil's site from "his" component.... but is claiming on his site that he developed it and even posted the files to be downloaded on mamboforge.net. So, has mosFAQ gone GPL or what's the deal here

I was alerted to this thread by another mamber.

The facts:
I have not released mosFAQ under GPL!
I have not allowed anyone to release a product based on mosFAQ

I have downloaded simpleFAQ and cannot find the link you say is there to my site.

I have also compared the source code and can not see any likeness????????

Im now confused!

Also SimpleFAQ has a lot more features and configuration than mosFAQ - I suggest you look again as I cannot see the likeness of the two.

You are right Phil. My mistake here. I was confused because I installed SimpleFAQ on the same test site where mosFAQ is installed. I apologize to SimpleFAQ developer for the confusion this threat may create.
