The stoning to death of Amina Lawal in Nigeria has been confirmed by Nigeria's Supreme Court. As you might remember she is convicted by the courts of Nigeria to death by stoning because of adultry and getting pregnant out of her affair. The Supreme Court has now confirmed the sentence and she has now two month's to say farewell to her child after she will be burried till her neck in the ground after which she will be stoned to death. Amnesty International is calling everybody to sign electronically against this verdict which is the only opportunity to save her from this terrible death.

I ask the administrators NOT to delete this post despite realising that this is not a political forum. However this is about saving a life which will be ended in one of the most inhumane ways one can imagine. Have mercy once and allow this link to be STICKY for the next 4 weeks so everybody can help. Also dear Mambers please forward this message to your friends and family. The supreme Court of Nigeria has said that at least 4 million signatures are needed to overturn the verdict.

There's some text on that page that indicates she has been freed... I have dug a little further, and found this:

Indicating that her sentence was quashed back in September.

Has this case been reopened? Has she been resentenced? Do you have other information?

What a load of utter crap. No supreme court anywhere in the world is ever going to give a rats *** about an internet petition (or a real life one for that matter). Add the fact that sharia law and it's enforcement have nothing to do with the supreme court unless a legal challenge to the constitutionality of sharia law is mounted and this becomes even more laughable.

Finally, if you check the thread on mamboserver you will find that this case was over years ago although others are still ongoing.

Holy hell............I thought I followed up on a good case. I knew of course that her sentence was rejected in high court only the mail I received ( with about 250 names from which I know about 100 or so) was so convincing and for me at that moment clear ( came from my sis) that I thought indeed it was again over ruled......I admit I am a dombo and did not check! mamboindo=mambodombo!! (lol>s***!)

Little whois...........learned of course the spanish email-collector who is behind this......AM I stupid!!!!!!!.............Thanks Trijnie to put me on the right track.......Anyhow people.....you now know that I care.....

To AlWarren:: I wrote I think in one of the other forums that you needed
minus 8.5 in glasses............Can you send me some triple sized overloaded, multi-functional extra oversized very strong etc????????
