That should be the best practice. If I will use it commercially (and definitly sooner I will use it...) I will pay for it (in the form of donation as my contribution). till then, i will take the risk. (this is my choice, i might change it if something nasty happens to me).

If it's not bad enough that your credits are removed, I found a guy that is selling templates from another memberships based site and passing them off as his own.
