Default Inviting fellow mambers for banner exchange!

Guys!

I run a medium sized frequently updated mambo driven website. I am able to serve good number of banner loads every day. I would be please to place your mambo site's banner in exchange to mine.

In fact we can start this type of practice for a network of mambo site who place each others banners. That way we can help each other popularise the website.

What do you guys say?

I think that is an excellent idea.

I'd be up for it.

Just need to actually find the time to create my logo and banner...which is on the very long todo list.

Guess some sites like http://www.addesigner.com/ lets your create banners online but with a text 'free design by addesigner'

However designing a banner is worth the time especially if it is going to show on someone else's website for free.

I have mine with me, i will show anyone's banner as an exchange to mine

What is your site?

Depending on what it is exactly I would be happy to open my site to banners of other mambo driven sites.

I'm happy to spread the word and when I finally get time to look at a logo and banner all i ask is you reciprocate the favour.

This is an interesting idea, over the years I have used various banner exchanges and with quite good results. Unfortunately they tended to fail and/or go commercial.

I would like to investigate the idea of a Mambo Banner exchange, based around a banner server and a component for sites to display served banners.

Anyone else interested (I wouldn't have the time to do this alone)?

I think it would be a stellar idea, unfortuntely I dont really know how much time I can devote to helping you. At the moment its like zilch, but I am interested and I have a bit of unused server space and bandwidth at the moment.

I guess the idea can start off with a mutual banner exchange. Mail me yiour and i mail mine yours. No contact or agreement. Let the banners show at a frequency which the banner module decides. For ex

If i have 4 banners in circulation, every fourth banner would be yours. But if you have 6 banners, every 6 th banner would be mine. THATS FINE WITH ME! to start with.

I just hope this turns out to be the first step for a component which fellow mambers can use.

I think that would be the easiest way to start it off, until a more structured system gets created.

Anyway, if people are interested in having their banner displayed on my site
www.stingrey.biz
Then drop me a line. It will be displayed along the bottom outside of the main content box.
For the time being I will limit it to only those regular forum posters (my way of thanking them for the support they give on both the Official Forum and mambers).
