Default Mambo Translation Teams

After many weeks of hard work put in by our Translation Team, we are pleased to announce that over 20 coordinators and even more Partner Sites are now organised in teams that collectively lead over 300 people in the effort to translate Mambo.

The next version (4.5.3) has concentrated heavily on improving the accessibility of Mambo in any language, looking at both the way it is handled in the core framework and the help files system.

Users will be able to choose from the list of installed languages when logged in to the site (front-end) as well as in the administrator (back-end).

It is our aim to have all supported languages included with the web installer of Mambo and also have the language packs available for download in convenient locations.

A list of the current coordinators and official partner sites can be found on the help site and will be updated regularly as new members are appointed.

If you have an interest in contributing to Mambo in a language that is not already listed, please post in the newly created Language Forum

More information can be found in the Translation Charter

Andrew Eddie, Mambo project leader

Talking Re: Mambo Translation Teams

If you don't have a person to do the Icelandic translation I would be more than willing to put some effort into translation all of Mambo in Icelandic.
