mamboportal.com Updates and asigning more admins

Hello,

as we all noticed that nothing has been done at the mamboportal.com, meaning latest news postings, new components, updated components etc etc, how can we as a community help out? If Arthur does not have the time nor interest, we as the community could run the site. I bet there are some users who would be willing to spare some hours a week to moderate the mamboportal.com. I would be willing to do that.

I also believe that the download section could be run my the programmers themselves. They should upload new or updates components/models and they whole commuity can profit from that right away.

Mamboportal.com has such a strong position within the mambo community and it would be a bitty if that would be lost due to a non maintenance of the site.

We all know that communication rules the world. Lets get the mamboportal.com site upto date again!!!!

errr... no one has been able to contact Arthur yet... In the meantime I suggest the official forums as a place to get all the latest Mambo news...

As you may not know, the flu has hit germany.
I guess arthur is "just sick" and stays in bed. So give him a break to recover.

Is this a fact or a guess...

We are just genuinely concered about his welfare... not upset with him... If he is sick... we wish him all the best and a speedy recovery.

I wanted to say that we can help out to keep mamboporta.com upto date, by becoming part of mamboportal.com. Especially if Arthus is ill. He does have many projects running right now.

I understand that, but no one is able to get in touch with him, no one has access to the sides besides him either so they're isn't much that we can do at the moment.

I guess it's time to face the truth that the Mamboportal is dead either out of wish or misfortune. Would a solution be to port many things from the mamboportal.com to mambohut.com og similar site? It would then truly become the largest Mambo collection then.
So many things has happened since the last mamboportal update that I think most developers has lost faith in having a collection and overview over all the projects.
Also this is an opportunity to have a collection of "free" and "non free" components and such in one place.

I do think that the one thing Mambo needs the most is a central with everything and i mean everything when it comes to free and non free things. A way to view all opportunities.
