Default Bookmark Us v1.0 Beta released

Bookmark Us v1.0 Beta has been released today.

This is my first module for Mambo .

Bookmark Us allows visitors to quickly and easily bookmark your site, the current page, and up to 3 other links defined by you. Very flexible. Works with IE, Firefox, Opera, Netscape, and other Gecko-based browsers.

It has already been tested using the latest versions of IE, FireFox, Opera, and NetScape. With cross-browser functionality and 23 user selectable parameters, Bookmark Us hopes to be the best "Add to Bookmarks" script yet.

Bookmark Us is currently more or less stable, but I'm looking for feedback for other browsers and/or non-windows platforms (Mac, etc).

Any comments or feedback is appreciated.

Download from MamboForge (http://mamboforge.net/projects/bookmarkus/). .

A working example can be found on my MamboNotes.com site.

Hello 'Kabam'

Bookmark Us works better than one could hope, considering the vast number of 'kluges' floating around as answers to this issue, which is more important than ever since Firefox is now significant % of browers.

I wasted a day trying all manner of scripts, have a lot of websites needing a working 'bookmark' feature so would love to use yours (getting rather anxious about the time it takes to solve one small website matter)

However, after crawling all over your doco, files and workings on MamboNotes.com my modest tech savvy is, well, too modest.

What is needed presumably for dummy webmasters is brief install guide such as
* upload these files to web server in these directories
* edit these params because the default is non-functional
* needs mod-x on server to work
* known gotchas that idiots (like me) would normally miss

Without spelling out the install there are too many variables to overcome by experiment (or is it really too technical for dummies?)

Regards.
