Yes, but it took one tight-knit community to post the number of votes required to win. Think about that when you consider how large the KDE community is!
The wonderful thing about Mambo is the urge that it and the community in general gives a user to get more involved. You do not see this very often to the extent you see it in the Mambo community. We have a great community where users enjoy helping other users and where users want to see Mambo grow.
Also I think that Arthur has been very instrumental in helping to make this possible, largely because of mamboportal.com and now mambers.com. In most other CMS communities, it's rare to find a single place where you can gain access to all files and seek help with installations for all of those files. My time has been fairly limited lately, but I find myself visiting this site much more than others, largely because the heart of the community seems to be beating here more than elsewhere.
