Newsflash Scroller Advanced will not display without its title

Why does this module work on some templates and not on others? I installed this on one client site without a single problem and it works great.

I have it on another site but it will only display if the title is displayed and then the scroll will not go any wider than the title.

I've downloaded and installed the Display News module but there are too many parameters to it. I just need to get the scroller working like it should so I can finish this install.
