I finally managed to hunt around mosforge again today and found this..

A scheduling component (http://mamboforge.net/projects/surgsched/)that allows users to sign up for appointments/events.

This is something ive been after forever and from the many posts ive read on these boards, something many others are also after.

How about adding to my short post here (http://mamboforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=2367&forum_id=251) with a message of goodwill. Maybe that will provide some encouragement for the developer

Wow! How did we miss that? It's been there for nearly two months and this is the first I've heard of it. Let's keep this project moving forward with as much encouragement as possible!

Mattius...thanks for finding this!

I've known about it for awhile and downloaded it but didn't have time to check it out. Today I'm working with it and I've run into some glitches:

1. On mamboforge, the instructions for setting the parameter for the menu link reads: "As such, when creating the main menu link, you must include the additional parameter "menuid=#" (w/o quotes) where # corresponds to sched_config#.php." This was causing the error 'Unable to Select Specified Department. Please notify system administrator.' so I looked at the code and it's actually looking for a parameter named deptid, not menuid. So I changed the parameter to deptid=1 and was able to get the calendar to display.

2. Another instructions says: "Also, install the calendar module and set it to appear only on the schedule component page. This allows you to navigate the schedule.". I have the calendar module installed but it is referencing the Events calendar, not the Schedule calendar. Maybe there's something else I'm missing here.

3. I'm getting warning messages on the calendar module also.

You can see it at www.divanet.biz/demo and the scheduler link is the last menu item.

once set of instructions also states go into table mos_sched_category and create and entry. then create a menu entrey for teh component and set the param dept_id=1

I did all this and it works fine for me.

How hard though would it be to have the param in the menu set to the userid. So each user would have there own calendar.
