i did an update to the new events version 5e and now all my events are gone. ok, i did a backup before but what is the right way to update this component? after install i had 2 entrys of the com_events in the list of components and both had the same versionnumber.
right now it seems that you have to:
1. backup table mos_events from db
2. uninstall mod_events
3. install the new version
4. import table mos_events
is this the only way?
would be nice when during install a message appears that asks for keeping the data of the old events component and after install there shouldnt be two entries of com_events in the adminpannel but maybe this is a core related problem.

p.s. i edited the titel of this thread but it didnt changed :confused:
