I'm developing an Advanced Marketing component, it's a newsletter/massmailing component that supports templates, i need some eMail HTML-Templates to test and maybe later ship them with the final release.
Are there some Template Designers out there in the community willing to help out?

The Templates with images should be small, as images will be(but it's optional) attached as inline images. They will consist of header and footer, a Template for the TOC(table of contents/Menu) and several rows. The Rows could also consist of 2 row templates to be able to provide a 2 column row.
If somebody wants to design such a template i could send u an example template, the template files as well as an example eMail with that template.

By the way, i also need some testers, especially with some exotic Mail-Clients, who can tell me if somethings wrong with the Mail, and maybe how the problems could be solved.
Any volunteers?

Advanced Marketing Component You mean a SPAM component? I doubt you will get much help with that here... ;)

sure, it could be used for sending spam, but it is more for writing Newsletters, as it will provide Register/Unregister functionality and it is also possible to personalize the Mails, to only mention some of the available/planed features

Is there nobody who wants to help me testing my new component? First step will just be to receive mails and test it on different mail clients

Count me in, and send me the sample template.
I run a HTML e-mail newsletter for our customer base at work.

Is your solution going to be much different from the two other Mambo components?

Well i think one of the biggest differences is that it is based on rows, which are assigned to categories. So you can write one Newsletter to all Subscribers, but they will only receive the parts of the Newsletter they are subscribed to. Also that it uses a queue, so u can restart sending without problems, where you have been stoped.
Another nice feature is the convertion from html to text, I implemented and improved an html2txt convertion class. This class tries to maintain the formating as good as possible.
I also want to implement bounce management and cronjob-based unattended queue processing, and also different sending methods, like BCC-sending and a preview option where you can navigate through all subscribers and see what he will receive.
Well, i have a lot of ideas, unfortunately not that much time, so it will
take some time until i release a first stable version, right now i think i have about 30-40% of what is on my roadmap.
I have published some first screenshots on my website at http://www.zapto.de

I use The Bat!. I think it's what you call a exotic Mail-Client. So you can use my adress to test. PM and I send you my adress. About 90% HTML emails I receive are wrong, without images.

Thanx for your help, due to my final exam for my apprenticeship as software-engineer(Fachinformatiker für Anwendungsentwicklung) the development of the Advanced Marketing will be delayed until maybe June. I'm now working on the customer requirement specification and project documentation (in german:Projektdokumentation und Pflichtenheft) for some featurtes of this component as part of my exam.
I will contact all that offered me help with testing when i continue with the development
Wish me luck.

Completely interested in helping out if I can. I use a web based list management company to send marketing emails as well as newsletters for two different clients. I've been looking for a host based solution and since I'm converting everything to Mambo power, I was hoping that I could integrate the marketing as well. Let me know what you need. I don't write templates, but I bought a template package. Simple stuff though.
