Insert Pic in Mamblog?

Hi,
can anybody tell me how to insert a picture in mamblog?
It's been no problem inserting it in the mamblog.html.php. - just put the <img src=".."> next to the header. But there it doesn't show in the bloglistings, only in the 'write a new blog entry' section.
I think I found the place where to put it in the showblogs.php file. But the picture won't show up -text only.
How can I fix this?
