I have an idea for a new component, if anyone in the community is willing to take it on as a project (preferrably open source/free ;) )...

I think Mambo needs an iCalendar compliant planner component. I'm thinking of something that works similar to the Calendar on Microsoft Outlook. Each registered user could have his or her own calendar, through which they can keep track of events, to-do lists, appointments, etc. They could also invite other registerd users and download their calendar to run on Outlook, a handheld organizer, etc.

 Does anyone have any other suggestions for features?
 Are there any talented programmers out there willing to take this on?

This isn't for me personally. I just thought it would be a good component, and I don't quite have the programming skills necessary to do something this big.

I'm not a good php coder... just for 'hacking' code...

I have only skills on design and planning... so, if someone is interested in this... i can make the graphics or the project in how to 'make things out'...

just PM me... am interested in a comp like this ;)

Nice Idea CCdog

The iCalendar specification can be found here. (http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2445.txt)
