Hi,

I have a problem with the Events Component Admin Panel but I don't know which category my problem lies in so I'm sorry if I posted in the wrong forum.

I would like to use "Year" for repeat type for birthday reminders but all the options are greyed out except for the "Day" option. If I do the entry using frontend, I could change the repeat type but there's no option for access type which I wish to change to "Special". Currently, I enter birthdates using Admin Panel and edit the repeat type using frontend.. Is there any problem with the Admin Panel? Or is there anything I can try to make the repeat type work in the Admin Panel?

Another qn I have is a single day event is currently "labelled" as "Every Day" cos the default is repeat "Day". Is there any option to not repeat at all?

Thanks for ur attention :O

It looks to me like if you don't select a repeat pattern, the every day actually just means the specified day. But I agree, no repeat should be an option.

I'm wanting to display by month *and* category. Any ideas?

I was having the exact same problem. The reason that you only have the first option is because of the date range. If you look at the event in the backend, the start and end dates are probably the same. Change the end date to some time in the future, and the radio buttons should become available. Hope this works for you! It did for me. :)

This works with me as well. For birthdays, I just pick 2035 as the year where I stop displaying the birthdays and then pick the every year occurence.
