Can anyone point me in the right direction. I need to allow access to a specific component in the backend.

I got this expensive piece of software because I thought I could control ALL aspects of the site. NOT JUST THE FRONT END.

Tks,

And now TODAY you add this to your crappy website:

Everyone who is interested in MAL or JAL can test it on our testsite located at www.mambobrothers.com/maldemo (u:demo, p:demo); MAL & JAL functionality is the same.
Everyone can download the MAL manual (is identical for JAL) for free so finding out what MAL/JAL does and does not is no problem.
So we do not refund money to people who thought that MAL/JAL also did such or that ...; just test it on our website, read the manual or ask it in mail before you buy!

Attention

For those who cannot read or use a website :)

MAL/JAL delivers only access restricting to the frontend, not the backend of Mambo/Joomla
MAL/JAL use domain protection based on IP so you can use it only on 1 site (or 1 server with server license) and not on forwarding domain systems.

I can't believe I wasted $100.00 on this $5.00 P.O.S.

Never buy a business product from someone with worse grammar than you.

Taurian: I can understand why you are mad with this guy. I was planning on getting this component too. Because no one from the Mambobrothers ever checks this site (or responds), I've descided not to use Mambo.

Why don't you write him a letter in which you state you have the right to sent the product back within a certain timeframe? This guy is living in Europe, they have very strict rules for commerce through the Internet.

This community stinks anyway. You'll get very few or no responses from anyone.:lipsrseal

Goodbye

The guy is a Retard, all of the emails he sends me, I have to try to decypher because his grammar is so flippin bad. Try reading the PDF! It wasn't made by the man who designed this software.

And $100.00! OH MY G-D I CAN'T BELIEVE I WASTED THAT KIND OF MONEY ON A PRODUCT THAT I CAN GET FOR FREE!

This POS of a Product is USELESS in the backend of the website.

WHY THE HELL DO I NEED TO RESTRICT ACCESS OF A COMPONENT TO SOMEONE IN THE FRONT???!!! WHY???

I'm more than mad.

1. The manual is made by the person who did all analyses to create this software and verified by the programmers

2. We never said that MAL/JAL/ACCESS GRANTED limits access to the back end. It's clear for most users that it does not and you could test it on our testserver

3. Maybe my English grammar is bad. English is not mine original language but your grammar is certainly not better.

4. Expensive?? For a larger component as this, 100 USD is not expensive.

5. 100 USD for something you can get for free???? You can not get anything like this for free. So dream on.

6. Everyone can test our products on our demosite so it's clear you never did.

I don't want to react anymore on this. So I let our customers speak. This is one of my last mails:

Hi, Wim!
To me, is a pleasure make business with Mambobrothers. Sorry about the time i took to answer you email, i was out almost all day from office.
The domain for our single license is vendirect.com (just as is).
MAL is about to be used on mambo 4.5.3. I have read the manual entirely, so i just need the malkey.php to be up and running.
MAL (Access Granted) is a terrific chunk of code.
TIA
