View Full Version : Large space above main content in CSS template
I'm trying to design my first template and trying to use CSS to do it. Things look ok, except for the HUGE blank space above the main content area:
Any ideas on what I've done wrong? THANKS for your help in advance!
It might be your table tags. Try going through all your code and see if you've missed closing any tags like </table>, </tr>, </td>
Thanks for the quick response!
I'm not using any tables in my index.php files - only CSS divs, so any unclosed tags would have to come from Mambo (doubtful I assume). I checked the source of the page using View|Source and didn't find any unclosed tags. It is puzzling. Here is the code around the trouble area:
<span class="frontpageheader">Welcome to the Frontpage</span>
<table width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0">
<td width="50%" valign="top">
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="1" border="0" width="100%" class="contentpaneopen">
<td class="contentheading" width="100%">test content </td>
...and so on.
Looks good to me...anything else I should check? Thanks again!!!
might be the entire table structure is off. If you log out and see a difference in the size of the area as opposed to being logged in then your table is stuck to the side bar table and needs to be removed. i dont know if you know what i m saying but i run into that all the time. if thats the problem toss a new table in the center area so you will have your main table, with three <td></td> tags and in the middle one (where your newflash and main content and all that good stuff goes) add a new table and align vertical top. this will keep all your goodeis in the spot they are supposed to be in. If thats not the problem then oops my bad. :rolleyes:
