Directory Component framework errors

hi,

I use the commercial tools Directory Component from Phil. For some strang reason sometimes i as admin can't edit the result in the backend! the box to click infront of the items to edit is missing! at the field checked i seen the name of the owner. The only solution is to use phpmyadmin and edit the code directly inside mysql and remove the code at line checkout_by

Also subsection isn't working 100% this field is empty until i browse the previous section before. So if section is default dutch you can't select subsection untill i choose a other value in section and then dutch again. After that subsection can be choose

Because Phil is not responding on his own forum over at his site i'm trying it here

This is because when you go to edit an item (any item in Mambo) it is "checked out" by you. If you do not press Save or Cancel, the item stays checked out.

To check these items back in, go to System->Global Checkin.
