View Full Version : Archiving YaNC mailings
Hello,
Is there a way to archive the mailings send by YaNC. I would like to send out a weekly newsletter and to archive each copy on the website. From what I see YaNC doesn't have any facility to do this.
In a related subject, is there a way to send an email and post it in Mambo?
Thanks,
Nick

YaNC actually stores all the previous mailings (including contents) in the mos_newsletter_sendletters table in your db. Therefore, you can actually create hack the frontend pages of the YaNC component to display them.

What do you mean by this?
No need for a hack, the front page already displays the archive. Just click the graphic icon to the left of the Mailing/Newsletter name.
I agree it's hard to find, but with a tiny bit of 'hacking', it can be made clearer.

Oh yah.. I totally forgotten about that one because I don't display it. ;)
Apologies for overlooking.
And the Module for YaNC. When can we have a new version? Visualdensity?

Ahh.. cheeky! ;)
I've just installed it.. I'll should have this done pretty quick. Stay tuned!
Update: Oppss... just realized the component that I downloaded was the old one. So, we'll have to wait for the new component release before I can create a new module for YanC. :)
The last version 1.2 is here http://www.tim-online.nl/index.php/component/option,com_docman/task,view_category/Itemid,78/subcat,1/catid,24/limitstart,0/limit,5/.
This version is a big upgrade than the older Module don't works.
We need a new YaNC Module!
:O

UPDATE (20th April 04):
I've just released this new module based on Yanc 1.2. Please refer to the following thread:

Yes, it is quite easy to add a Archive Icon to YANC module of Visualidentity. Just open the mod_yancsubcribe and add the link:
<a href="index.php?option=com_newsletter&Itemid=0&listid=1"></a>
where listid is the ID of the newsletter you want to archive
See it in action here: www.casinotalks.com
I am a new user of YANC and cannot for the life of me understand where the icon is to be found. I have the drop down list and the sign up boxes, but no icon.
Can someone please walk me through this?
Thanks
Kenneth
