Hello everyone, I just discovered mambo, I don't know where it was all that years, I seems great.

I have two questions,

1.Is there a way to have images resized automatically when posting news? And to have them linked to a bigger version?

2. I am currently running a phpnuke based website, is there a news model converter? I have more then 400 news on that website… converting them manually is hard, and all the published dates will mess up.

Thanks!!!

There is a user migration tool written by Gayle, but because the news articles information is actually scatterred throughout several tables, an article migration tool is not on anyone's list of things to do. There are apparently a number of variables involved and each php-nuke configuration would require some fiddling so a script won't work across the board for all php-nuke installations converting to Mambo.

Best advice I've seen is to buckle down and start cut-and-pasting. And I belive in Mambo you can adjust the publish date on individual articles.

Yes, thank you, I'll cut and paste. It seems less of a headache.

What about the images? Anything can be done on the matter?

There is mambot for 4.5.0 which has this capability, but I believe it reauires that your host support GD LIbrary to allow the automatic resizing of images

Ho, I do have GD. That's not a problem.
So is there something like that for 4.5.1? It's very important to me. I might even use 4.5.0 just for that.
What are the differences between 4.5.1 and 4.5.0? Will 4.6 have this function?

Just convert that mambot so it can be used with 4.5.1 and the new parameter options.

Well, I don't think it is that easy. Those versions look very much different.
Do you think you can get me started?
