Default rotating 'who's on air now' banner for a radio station? (newbie alert ;-) )

Hi folks,

I'm helping to build a Mambo site for a community based radio station in Ireland.

One of the things we're trying to integrate is a 'who's on air now' feature that updates at the start of each show. Show times are pretty regular so it's not a big issue to input these into a list to be read by whatever is going to display the results.

To make matters a tad complicated, in a perfect world it would be great to be able to display the name and a thumbnail photo of the DJ currently on air. The icing on the cake would be a means to have the DJ's name as a hyperlink to their profile page (I have the profile pages created already).

And all of this would sit neatly in the right side column of a 3 column mambo site.

I've wondered about some of the banner rotation systems and just ignoring the additional features that would be geared towards actual advertising banners.

Am I asking too much?

Anyone any thoughts, suggestions?

As an aside I'm also interested in general pointers from anyone who has used Mambo for a radio station web site.

Many thanks for taking time to read this.

I'm a Mambo newbie and though this is my first forum post I look forward to a more 'giving' relationship into the future.
Regards,
Michael.
