You know, I think people should get off of Robert's back with this. So what if he wants to distance the Mambo project from Mamboportal. Arthur and his site(s) have been involved in a great deal of the drama that has ocurred in the Mambo community -- whether through his actions or through the actions of others towards him. Whether your personal opinion is that Arthur is at "fault" in these instances is not important. I think the key is that the Mambo product, and the community as a whole is very stable, so it makes sense to create a sense of distance between the core product/community and the center of turmoil. Please understand this is not a did at Arthur personally, the facts are since the development team reined in the official forums and stopped allowing any kind of flaming/public turmoil at all, that activity has moved to other Mambo-related sites, Mamboportal being the best-known. I hope I've made my point clearly, though I'm sure I will find out if I didn't! However, I'll be away for a few days, so if I'm not around to defend my position, don't go gathering a lynch mob together until I have a chance to return and answer any criticisms.
