Now don;t get me wrong, there is nothing worng with mamboportals template list.
Its just that mambohut is dedicated to templates and template design.
It also allows you to see a 'live' online version of the template so you can see if its the one for you, before you download.
Plus with the new template gallery, you will be able to browse through a gallery of pics of the templates (in 480 x 360 size). This will make browsing even easier.
Of course, I'm probably biased seeing as I managed to get an artilcle about my new website on their site
