same problem here, i have google ads about password protection on my home page, althouht front page content is about travel.
when i include index.php in URL i have good ads.

also, maybe it is somehow related to this, description of my website shown on yahoo search is:

Direct Access to this location is not allowed.Direct Access to this location is not allowed.Direct Access to this location is not allowed.Direct Access to this location is not allowed.

althouh i defined description such as "travel articles, news and tips..."
