I like this idea, but I'd rather something that integrated the top header with the forum. For some a community based forum is the main raison d'être and to see the header display differently from the main site can become disconcerting. But doing this with a cms and not having the forum wrapped in 3/4 of the site (instead of the entire width) seems difficult.
